The Connected Services Framework (CSF)
The Connected Services Framework is a free, open and decentralised messaging framework that lets UK Communications Providers exchange switching messages securely through Managed Access Providers, without depending on a centralised hub or administrative body. It is published by the Telecom Technical Architecture Group and carries no licensing cost to adopt.
Built on established standards
CSF reuses TLS 1.3 for transport security, OAuth 2.0 for authorisation, DKIM and PKI signing under RFC 6376 for end-to-end message integrity that any party can verify, and JSON Asynchronous Messaging (JAM) as the message specification.
How a distributed model differs from a hub
A centralised hub charges per-message or subscription fees, makes every party depend on one operator, and concentrates failure in one place. CSF is free to operate, lets each MAP run and scale autonomously, distributes failure, keeps trust verifiable end-to-end rather than delegated to a hub operator, and replaces central registration with peer-sponsored onboarding that is operational in hours.

NowYoYo exchanges live business switching messages peer-to-peer over the CSF with other Managed Access Providers, alongside its TOTSCo Hub connection, so a Communications Provider connecting through us reaches both without integrating with either directly.
